Welcome to Mrs. Rhinesmith's Math

 SUPPLIES
1 1/2" or 2" 3-ring binder with 4 tab dividers
1 or 2 spiral notebooks
   1 for taking notes
1 for homework or loose leaf paper
pencils
calculator

Please encourage your child to NOT keep all their papers for all their classes in one folder or binder.  This is just too disorganized.

I check homework for completion, so they get credit if they do the work.  I do NOT accept homework late for credit.  We go over the answers in class, after it is checked for completion.

We do problems of the day Monday-Friday. These are basic review problems to practice skills and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes at the beginning of class.

Please make sure your child is doing their homework each night.  They will have some math to do almost every night.  The only days we will not have homework are on test and quiz days.  They will be offered extra credit work on those days.

Our textbooks have a great resource on-line.  For Pre-Algebra it is www.classzone.com.  For Geometry and Algebra 1 it is http://phschools.com. They don't require a password.  They have extra practice problems and tutorials for all the lessons in the textbook.  I have found it to be a great help not only to students but parents as well.  Please check it out if you get a chance.
