Do you check your child's daily agenda for assignments and announcements from the teacher?
This is one of the best ways for parents & teachers to communicate.
Your child has math and reading most nights.
Sometimes I like to include an extra note about your child in his or her agenda -
Check it and sign it each night.
Be sure your child is packing his/her backpack with those assignments before leaving home.
It is important to establish "successful student" habits now and maintain them throughout their schooling.
-Does your child have a time and place he/she can work on homework?
In my house, we have a motto: "No fun until it's done." No TV, video games, . . .whatever your child would rather do - instead of homework. If the homework is complete - then the fun can begin.
