The mission of the Skiles Test Library Media Center is to promote digital age literacy skills and inventive thinking.
Students practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening using print and technology based media.
Students and staff use computers, networks, and software applications to explore topics of personal interest and to create projects to demonstrate their learning.
Learners apply digital age tools to gather, evaluate, and make use of information.
Children and adults explore human, cultural, and societal issues related to the ethical use of technology.
Students and staff use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively.
Volunteers are a vital part of the Media Center. Parents, grandparents, and community friends are invited to share a few hours each week to promote literacy. Volunteers are needed to shelve books, read with children, staff the circulation desk, and complete clerical tasks. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, please call or email Mrs. Sigler at jennifersigler@msdlt.k12.in.us or 317-964-4700.
