The FCVMS Library Media Center promotes and supports the Young Hoosier Book Award each school year. Two different sets of fiction and non-fiction books are available for students to read throughout the year. Students who read at least five of the books and pass the Accelerated Reader quizzes for those books are eligible to vote in April for their favorite book. Students from across the state participate each year in this promotional reading program. The winning authors receive an award from AIME , the sponsoring organization. Books are also available at public libraries and bookstores during the year, too. (Not all 20 books on each list will be available at FCVMS.)
